Animal Cruelty: Selling live fish at Walmart.

When one automatically thinks of Walmart, you think "Save money, live better." The last thing you'd think of is animals left to waste away in their own feces in a half cup of disgusting water. Many people also thing "Hey, it's just a fish." Yeah, but if you take into account how many animal lives are lost simply because of human NEGLIGENCE in a store, there is far too many to count. Leaving animals in terrible, unliveable condition is animal cruelty, no matter what shape, or size they are. Whether it is a dog, a cat, a horse, or a small fish in a cup, all lives matter. Believe it or not, fish are probably one of the most neglected and abused animals that humans keep as pets. Walmart is only one extreme example of this. There have been so many past and present accounts of people walking into Walmart and seeing these living things dying and suffering in a small bacteria and ammonia infested cups. Although many people have reached out towards Walmart and Walmart employees, still NOTHING is done to change the conditions that these animals have to "live" in. So, this petition is people who are passionate about proper pet let alone animal treatment take a stand against Walmart. We are reaching out specifically to Walmart's CEO, C. Douglas Macmillan, to realize that what this company is doing is in fact not making lives better, but is in truth abusing animals and misinforming the public about what PROPER fish care is supposed to look like. If this type of abuse and cruelty was happening to a dog, bird or especially human, there would be much more attention surrounding the subject, so why not bring attention to this? Even the smallest of lives matter. This petition and those who sign it would like to ask that Walmart stop carrying living creatures if it is going to show such negligence towards living beings. Walmart, either clean up your act, or clean out your fish aisle.
