Hi folks! Good news this week on the TPP front, as Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi announced her opposition to the deal. As our Andrew O’Sullivan explains, it’s difficult to understate the importance of this development. Working with our partners, we succeeded in rallying over 200,000 people to ask Pelosi to stand against the TPP, and the fact that she has now done so is a sign that our pressure is having a real impact. That said, we’re now entering a crucial phase in the fight against the deal, as its proponents try to force it through the ‘lame duck’ session of Congress in November. We’re watching this like a hawk, as if we can kill the TPP in the U.S., we’ll kill it across the board. Stay tuned on our Facebook and Twitter for the latest in this fast-moving story.
