Let’s keep building momentum to protect pollinators! Dear Paov,
Two weeks ago, Minnesota’s governor announced new rules to restrict the use of bee-harming pesticides. These are some of the strongest policies to take on this pesticide problem nationwide.
Bees are incredibly important to our food system. They pollinate 71 of the 100 crops that provide most of the world’s food. And honey bees alone contribute over $19 billion to the U.S. economy.
Corporations like Syngenta and Bayer have been lobbying hard to keep their bee-harming pesticide products on the market, managing to stall stricter federal policies. But states like Minnesota — and hopefully yours! — are stepping up to protect pollinators from neonics.
Your governor needs to hear from you! Urge your state to address the pesticide problem head on, too.
Bees are in serious trouble. It’s time for all hands on deck!
Thank you for speaking up.
