The future of Canada Post is hanging in the balance. A mega review of this important public service is underway right now -- and that means that services like post offices and door to door delivery are on the chopping block unless we speak up now.

Everywhere we look, multinational companies are trying to get their hands on valuable Canadian public services. And if we don't fight back now, Canada Post could be next.
The government is conducting a public consultation on the future of Canada Post -- and the comment period closes THIS FRIDAY. If we want to make sure that more post offices aren't closed and added services like postal banking don't end up on the chopping block, we need to speak up now.
Can you tell Justin Trudeau's government you support Canada Post?
Despite the fact Harper is gone, his agenda of cutting public services lives on. Right now, the postal services that Canadians depend on are on the verge of being cut, despite the fact this is a profitable Crown corporation.
We've already seen cuts to door-to-door delivery in cities like Calgary, Ottawa and Halifax, and more than 350 public post offices have been closed in rural Canada since the the moratorium on post office closures. With the comprehensive review of Canada Post now underway, the threat of more cuts is real.
Right now we need to come together and make sure that Canada Post is maintained and expanded to include services like postal banking, so it can keep providing top notch services for the public. Canada Post ensures Canadians everywhere are treated fairly and get accessible, affordable service no matter where they live. It also provides good stable jobs for thousands of Canadians.
It’s models like these that we need to invest in, so we can see a bigger range of services for the public good. Instead, we're closing post offices across Canada and selling off millions in valuable real estate assets.
Together, we can send the message loud and clear that Justin Trudeau needs to stop Harper's agenda of cuts to public services, and expand the invaluable services of Canada Post.
