Happy Leap Year To The National Post!
In response to the latest of many attacks published in Canada’s National Post, four prominent supporters of the Leap Manifesto submitted the following letter to the editor in order to correct the record. The Post declined to publish.

Council of Canadians chapters help organize 17-community tour on the Trans-Pacific Partnership

The Council of Canadians Guelph chapter, as part of the Guelph Wellington Social Justice Coalition, has written Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne (and prime minister Justin Trudeau) in advance of the March 3 federal-provincial first ministers conference in Vancouver on climate change.

Charlottetown Initiative brings together progressive energy thinkers in the Maritimes
Last Thursday and Friday, I participated in a 2-day workshop called the Maritimes’ Sustainable Energy Transition: Charlottetown Initiative. The meeting brought together progressively-minded participants from the three Maritime provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island) to discuss ideas for how to move forward with a progressive vision for energy in this region.
