COPINH opposes Canadian dam construction in Honduras
The Council of Indigenous and Popular Organizations of Honduras (COPINH), the organization co-founded by recently slain land rights defender Berta Cáceres, is opposed to the construction of the Canjel River Hydroelectric Project on Lenca territory in Honduras.

NWT chapter opposes fracking in the Liard Basin
The Council of Canadians Northwest Territories chapter is opposed to fracking in the Liard Basin.

Winnipeg town... hall rejects risky Energy East pipeline
More than 200 people attended a Council of Canadians-organized town hall meeting at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg last night on the Energy East pipeline.
