In a protest against the Ontario government's lack of action to clean up mercury contamination in Grassy Narrows this morning, protestors wearing hazmat suits brought four barrels of "toxic waste" to Queens Park, spilling one barrel of the thick gray liquid on the ground outside the front doors.
Sipenkne'katik band's injunction request was to maintain the status... quo, according to their lawyer, which means the Alton Gas storage project could not go ahead.
The "Special Committee on Electoral Reform" has now been formed and will have its first formal meeting on June 29.
The Council of Canadians Brandon chapter brought its concerns about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to their city council this past Monday.
