Indonesian fast food workers are standing up for their rights!

Fast food workers in Indonesia are fighting for their rights against sustained aggression by one of the country's leading fast food chains, Champ Resto. They need your support. If you have not yet been able to send a message to the company please take a moment to do so and CLICK HERE.

Champ Resto workers only learned that they had not been enrolled in the legally mandatory government health insurance program for employees and their families when a worker's new-born baby died after being refused hospital treatment. The IUF-affiliated hotel and restaurant workers federation FSPM called on Champ Resto to comply with the law. The company responded by immediately dismissing 83 union members and harassing and transferring others.

The union continues to hold weekly demonstrations to demand reinstatement of the dismissed workers, full respect for trade union rights and the inclusion of all company workers and their families in the government health insurance scheme.
