Animal Justice lawyers go to court in BC
Animals got their day in court this month when Animal Justice lawyers intervened at the BC Court of Appeal! We're fighting a Vancouver Aquarium lawsuit that could silence the film Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered, and shut down the brave whistleblowers and undercover investigators who expose animal abuse behind closed doors.

Seal hunt opens despite lack of ice
Animal Justice's Camille Labchuk teamed up with Sea Shepherd and Hollywood actress Michelle Rodriguez to visit baby harp seals on the ice floes in the Maritimes. The severe lack of sea ice this year is bad news for these ice-dependent animals, yet the government shamelessly opened the bloody seal slaughter this week.

Pig scrambles violate animal cruelty laws
After a petition against a cruel "pig scramble" event at a PEI agricultural fair got national media attention, Animal Justice sent a letter to authorities warning that pig chasing events likely violate animal cruelty laws. Pigs risk suffering from stress, fear, and injuries when they're chased—all for a few moments of entertainment.
