PAOV The following message is from Tyler, a passionate activist for clean water and environmental protection. He is just one of the everyday people who has had the experience of starting (and winning!) a campaign on Change.org. Today, he has a message for you:

My name is Tyler, and I’m taking this Earth Day as an opportunity to share how you can help protect the environment and fight climate change: Change.org membership. When I started my petition for Canada to ban microbeads, a major cause of water pollution around the world, I was just a university student new to activism.

Change.org connected me to tens of thousands of people who supported my petition and raised their voices with me. Their staff helped me find allies, talk to the media and reach out to decision makers -- all of which was key to my petition winning.

Today, I am using Change.org as a platform to organize people around the world to start their own campaigns to protect our water from plastic pollution. One way you can help everyday people like me take action on issues ranging from the environment to human rights to so much more, is by joining the Change.org membership program.

Membership helps ensure that people have free access to Change.org’s online tools and support — no matter where they live or who they are. Your membership is critical in connecting supporters, resourcing on-the-ground actions, and providing people like me with media and organizing expertise that helps campaigns win.

Unfortunately, this Earth Day is not a celebration of progress, but more of a call to action. Please consider taking action today by becoming a Change.org member. People like me need the support of people like you.

Don’t let the momentum of the moment fade. Please consider becoming a Change.org member today.

Thanks

Tyler
