The Federation of Colombian Educators' (FECODE) Peace Schools project is developing new approaches for teaching democratic coexistence in the post-conflict period. Project coordinator John Avila describes the philosophy behind the project. Through CoDevelopment Canada, the Peace Schools project is supported by British Columbia Teachers' Federation, Centrale des Syndicats du Quebec, the Surrey Teachers' Association and Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation.
