The Council of Canadians is celebrating the end of the Seneca Lake methane gas storage proposal in New York state - and hopes this win will bolster the ongoing efforts to stop a similar gas storage project in Nova Scotia.
The Council of Canadians was part of a coalition of organizations who... organized an all-candidates debate last night, entitled Fairness for Nova Scotians
The House of Commons is scheduled to vote on May 31 on a motion to concur with the recommendations of the Special Committee on Electoral Reform.
The Council of Canadians is calling on Green Party leader Andrew Weaver to work with NDP leader John Horgan to stop Liberal premier Christy Clark's extreme energy agenda in British Columbia.
