Many said it wouldn’t happen, but thanks to millions of people like you, it was reported last week that dog meat has been banned from the 2017 Yulin festival in China.
Last week’s news means that thousands of dogs will be spared the fate of being eaten for the sake of tradition.
But the work is far from over. 30 million dogs are brutally butchered every year for meat. Momentum is with us — it’s time to stand on our hind legs and end the cruel and barbaric dog meat trade. Help protect animals by becoming a member today.
