Council of Canadians trade campaigner Sujata Dey met with Paul Magnette, the minister-president of the Belgian region of Wallonia, this morning in Montreal alongside other allies to discuss the implications Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
The Council of Canadians Nelson chapter will be screening the film 100 Short Stories on Wednesday June... 7 at 5 pm in an event that will include the filmmaker taking questions after the film showing.
The Council of Canadians Comox Valley chapter is encouraging chapter activists to visit the Unist'ot'en action camp.
The Council of Canadians Peterborough-Kawarthas chapter has responded to the Trudeau government voting down electoral reform earlier this week with a letter to the editor published in both the print edition of the Peterborough Examiner and the online edition of Peterborough This Week.
While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is rightly 'disappointed' by U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement reached at the United Nations COP 21 summit in December 2015, he should also examine his own record and commit to doing much better over the next two years.
