Last Monday, Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau announced that Canada will pledge $100 million to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) after receiving our petition on June 7 and we want to say thank you to Canada!

This commitment from the Government of Canada is an important step towards the global eradication of polio and it was made thanks to your actions!

Your tweets, emails and petition signatures helped encourage the government to make this commitment. We did it!

Now it’s time for us to say thank you to Minister Bibeau and Prime Minister Trudeau for making the pledge. The government’s commitment to this cause brings us closer than ever to accomplishing the global goal of polio eradication.
