With you, we’re tackling the pesticide problem head on

Dear PAOV,

As we celebrate Pollinator Week, I wish I could say our work to protect bees is done. It’s been more than a decade since beekeepers first sounded the alarm about massive bee die-offs. We’ve made some real progress, but that alarm is still ringing.

Please consider marking Pollinator Week with a donation to PAN. Even a small gift will help us continue fighting for healthier food and farming that’s safe for our precious pollinators.

Even with a clear and compelling body of science showing that pesticides — particularly neonicotinoid insecticides — are one of the key driver of bee decline, federal policymakers are still dragging their feet.

That’s why, with your help, we’re focused on keeping pollinator protection front and center for state policymakers, and working in farming states like Minnesota and California to address the pesticide problem.

We’re deeply committed to supporting healthy pollinators, healthy communities and thriving agriculture across the country. Will you give a gift of $10 today to help carry this work forward?

As the evidence against bee-harming pesticides grows, the corporations that make and sell these products, like Bayer Cropscience, are still pointing the finger elsewhere.

Just this week Bayer is hosting a webinar series to highlight its commitment to “address the needs of honey bees.” Alternatively, they could simply stop making and selling products that kill bees, right?

The way we produce food should keep pollinators, communities and farming economies strong — not undermine their health. Give $10 or more today to help PAN work toward this bee-friendly future!

While the corporate PR spin is blatant (and infuriating), it speaks to the progress we’ve made and the incredible public momentum to protect pollinators. Thanks to outcry from millions — including scientists, beekeepers, farmers and the people I work with — the pesticide industry is worried.

Thank you so much for supporting this important work. It’s an uphill battle and we couldn’t do it without you.

Many thanks,

Kristin Schafer
