Help us raise $500 in new monthly donations
to hire part-time staff
Thank you to everyone who has donated over the last couple of weeks to help us reach our goal of $500 in new monthly donations. But we need more monthly sustainers to reach our goal. If you support RankandFile.ca, please donate today!
RankadFile.ca is now 5 years old. We started out as a small radio program in Kingston, Ontario. Today we average between 30,000 and 50,000 readers each month, publish hundreds of labour stories a year and have produced a widely distributed organizing handbook about the Fight for $15. We want to thank you for your dedication and support in helping us make that happen. With more readers and more demands on our time, we are asking for you help to raise $500 in new monthly donations to hire a part-time staff.
There is not a single dedicated labour reporter in Canada’s mainstream newspapers, even though there were over a dozen twenty-five years ago. Instead, we have newspapers based entirely around profit-making and how to best exploit people for personal gain. This makes RankandFile.ca one of the few sources of independent labour journalism in the country. We are dedicated to bringing you the voices and perspectives from our movement.
But we need your help to keep us going! RankandFile.ca is funded by readers just like you. Our current goal is to raise $500 in new monthly donations from our readership. With this money we will be able to hire a part-time staff to help us expand our coverage and audience. Right now we are able to publish quality independent labour journalism because of the generous donations we collect from readers and labour organizations across the country. But we can to do a lot more with more resources and dedicated staff!
