Its time to pull together to stop Kinder Morgan.

Kinder Morgan received its final permit to start construction. We’re ready to resist. r1

Friends,

Last week, the Port of Vancouver approved Kinder Morgan’s permit to begin construction on their tanker terminal on the Burrard Inlet.

This is disappointing but we know that the fight to stop Kinder Morgan is far from over. In a couple of weeks, Indigenous communities are headed to federal courts to challenge Justin Trudeau’s unjust and illegitimate approval of Kinder Morgan. Sign up to fundraise for First Nations legal cases against Kinder Morgan.

The federal government and its institutions, including the Port of Vancouver, are failing to stand up for people, the planet and the rights of Indigenous peoples. Indeed, Prime Minister Trudeau might be one of the most ardent Kinder Morgan supporters in the country right now. In this moment, one thing is clear: it’s... up to us to protect the collective rights of Indigenous Peoples, land, water, climate and communities.

From here on out, it’s people vs. Kinder Morgan, on the streets, in the courts, on the land, and on the water. Will you pull together with us to stop this pipeline?

This is just the beginning of the long road ahead. Kinder Morgan is threatening construction on their terminal as early as next month -- and we will be ready. We’re working with friends and allies to finalize a plan to stop this pipeline by land or by sea. We’ll be in touch soon with next steps.

In respect and peace,

Clayton Thomas-Müller
