Together, let’s be the solutionDear PAOV,
As a member of the PAN community, you know pesticides are a serious problem.
Today, more and more people across the country are waking up to this truth, as the harms of chemicals like dicamba and chlorpyrifos — and the corporate interests behind them — make national news almost daily.
Now is exactly the time to press hard for real change, and we’re on it.
Individual gifts from supporters like you matter more than ever in these turbulent times. Can you make a donation today?
The dicamba debacle is just the latest example. This drift-prone herbicide has destroyed 3.1 million acres of crops in 20 states so far — farmers are devastated, and furious. Dicamba is Monsanto’s latest “solution” to the superweeds created by their RoundUp-ready GE cropping system.
It’s time to build — from the ground up — a system of food and farming that serves the interests of people, not pesticide corporations.
This is a big change, and we know it won’t be easy, but now is the time. Your donation today will help make it happen.
Giant agrichemical corporations like Monsanto and Dow are the only ones who benefit from the status quo. Farmers are stuck on a frustrating pesticide treadmill, and children, farmworkers and rural communities are in harm’s way every day.
Study after study shows it doesn’t need to be this way. And across the country, thousands of innovative farmers are already practicing agroecology, and stepping away from reliance on toxic pesticides. It can be done. Let’s create the healthy, thriving food and farming system we need and deserve.
Thank you for being part of the solution — and a member of the PAN family!
Warmly,
Kristin Schafer
