Help Corus workers get a fair collective agreement!

This one is urgent folks. The Union is back at the table next week and needs to bring to bear all the pressure it can, as soon as it can.
When Corus Entertainment bought Shaw Media the workers in the newly merged company worked hard to make the merger a success.
Their reward? An employer that wants to maintain the $10,000 a year wage gap between the long-unionized Shaw employees and the Corus workers who voted to join the union as the merger came into effect.
It’s hard not to see a relationship between the workers’ decision to become union members and the company’s bargaining position.
Canadian Media Guild members at Corus and have been trying to negotiate a collective agreement with the company since March. The company is offering only a 1% increase and a deal that will expire in 6 months. They refuse to address the $10,500 wage gap between people doing similar work.
On top of that, Corus illegally took away benefits and reduced pension contributions after the workers voted to join the union.
Corus, a multi-billion dollar company, is capable of closing the wage gap. They need to stop punishing their employees for having joined a union and start treating them fairly.
