Community pressure has pushed the government to implement a
poverty reduction strategy. Now we need... community
action to ensure that it is a strong one with legislated targets and
timelines.
You can be a part of this effort to make BC’s
government take action against poverty. As they travel around the province to your
community or close by, it's important that the government hear our
collective voice loud and clear highlighting the pillars of a strong,
comprehensive poverty reduction plan.
We are planning events to help prepare you for the consultations:
Monday December 18, 10 AM - 1 PMMonday December 18, 3 PM - 4 PM
Register here for our webinar, where
Trish Garner will outline the Coalition's pillars of a poverty
reduction strategy and key messages.
Stay tuned
for details for events that we are organizing in Prince George and
Kelowna. If you are interested in hosting a workshop in your
community, let us know!
Can't make it to a
meeting? We've also put together a guide sharing the key messages and policies to highlight
in the consultations. You can also see a summary on our one-page poster.
Thank you for your
continued support in the fight for a strong poverty reduction
plan!

Some of our supporters have asked how they can donate to the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition's
continued advocacy for a strong poverty reduction plan. It's more
important than ever that we strengthen our collective work and
prioritize the voices of people in poverty. If you'd like to offer
