Five years ago (on January 24, 2013), Attawapiskat First Nation Chief Theresa Spence ended her 44-day hunger strike – that began in part due to the Harper government's gutting of the Navigable Waters Protection Act.
The Council of Canadians... has opposed the investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) provision in NAFTA since the early-1990s.
