PM Trudeau Electoral Reform Accountability Campaign

We hope all is well and thank you for your ongoing support of Democracy Watch’s campaigns to make Canada the world’s leading democracy!

Unfortunately, Prime Minister Trudeau broke his 2015 election promise to make a key democratic change – his promise to change the voting system.

Canada’s election law, called the Canada Elections Act, says in subsection 482(b) that it is illegal for anyone to make a false claim to try to convince voters to vote for any election candidate.

Democracy Watch... has filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Canada Elections asking the Commissioner to investigate Prime Minister Trudeau for violating this rule.
