I've just been invited to represent SumOfUs members like you in a meeting on Tuesday with the EU Commissioner who’s deciding whether the Bayer-Monsanto merger goes through.
I need your help to decide exactly what I should tell her.

I’m meeting this Tuesday with EU Commissioner Vestager -- who’s deciding whether the Bayer-Monsanto merger gets the greenlight.
This is an absolutely massive opportunity for us to throttle the deal once and for all.
Margrethe Vestager needs to know that people like you and me are against the deal, which could make one mega corporation controlling our food supply from farm to plate.
I’m... figuring out exactly what we prioritise saying to her -- and who better to ask that members of SumOfUs like you, who have been at the forefront of this campaign.

I’ll be going over member responses soon and will be putting together my talking points on Monday morning.
This is big opportunity for us -- and could be our best bet to influence the decision maker who will decide the fate of Bayer and Monsanto. There’s a lot we could say, so I want to know what you think would be most compelling for Vestager to hear.
Bayer and Monsanto thought this multibillion dollar deal would be a shoo-in.
But over two years of sustained pressure from SumOfUs members like you, we threw the merger way off track.
The generous donations from thousands of you have kept this resistance going: we put ads in key newspapers, hired some of the world’s top legal minds to prove the disastrous effects of the could-be merger, commissioned a lobbyist in Washington D.C., and thousands of you sent postcards to Vestager -- which got her attention and even a reply.
People power works: because of your pressure, the EU ordered an in-depth probe into the merger and delayed the decision date.
We can’t stop now. This meeting could be our biggest opportunity yet to stop this merger in its tracks.
