We need urgent action stop Kinder Morgan

This Sunday, Justin Trudeau pledged to spend billions of public dollars to bail out Texas oil giant Kinder Morgan and try to save a tar sands pipeline that we know would be a disaster for the climate, bulldoze Indigenous rights and put the entire Pacific coast in danger.

We can’t let this happen. That’s why this Thursday, we’re going to try something new, and something big -- hosting a national, mass meeting to get to work on next steps to stop Trudeau’s big oil bailout and prevent Kinder Morgan from putting the climate, the coast and Indigenous rights in danger.

This won’t be your average conference call. We’re going to get down to work, and we’re going to need everyone to show up ready to dig in... and start organizing. We know this is a big ask, but this is a big moment.

This isn't just another webinar, this is a meeting where we're going to get to work, and we'll ask people to sign up to host or attend actions.

On Thursday, Cedar George Parker, a young Indigenous leader from the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation and Eriel Deranger, Executive director of Indigenous Climate Action, and member of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) in Treaty 8 of Northern Alberta will share how Indigenous communities are leading the fight to stop destructive oil pipelines and keep tar sands in the ground.

We will also hear from Emma, a resident of Catherine McKenna’s Ottawa riding, who will share how her community has been organizing to hold McKenna accountable to her climate promises.
