Urgent: Guatemala Volcano Relief

Many of you will have heard of the horrendous eruption of the Fuego (Fire) Volcano that began Sunday, June 3, destroying a number of Guatemalan communities, killing at least 99 and displacing thousands. Several groups are planning fundraisers for those affected by the disaster, we have included information about the events below. Those wanting to make contributions can also do so through CoDevelopment Canada. CoDev will send all funds received to our partner the Guatemalan Women’s Sector, a national alliance of women’s organizations. The sector is collecting and purchasing food, clothing, bedding and shelter materials to be distributed by their member organization in Alotenango, one of the municipalities most affected by the eruption.Please donate by going to CoDev's Canada Helps page and select "Guatemala Volcano Relief" from the "Fund" menu
