Urgent: 65 Days to the Vote - here's your chance to help when it matters most!

Just 60 days from today, ballots will be mailed out in BC's referendum on proportional representation! A win for PR in BC would be a win for Canada.

Here's your chance to help when it matters most.

In January, thanks to your generous support, we were able to hire a BC On-the-Ground Organizer - with enough money to fund the position for six months. He has been doing a great job for us building up support for proportional representation, but that money is now gone.

If we want to keep our On-the-Ground Organizer in these critical months ahead, we must raise at least $15,000 now.

Can you chip in?

The BC Organizer recruits, trains and supports campaign volunteers, building our capacity to collect YES to PR Vote Pledges. These are the voters we will call about 60 days from today to Get Out the Vote for PR!

Over the past couple of months, the volunteer teams trained and supported by our BC Organizer have knocked on over 3000 doors and attended 35 events talking to voters and collecting Vote Pledges.

Of the 1000 face to face conversations at the door alone, only 57 people were outright opposed to pro rep. But over half didn't know a referendum was happening.

Without these face to face conversations, many people would not have accurate information on pro rep and be motivated to mail in their ballot!

Our Organizer works in and around Vancouver (where much of BC's population and 44% of the ridings are concentrated). It is crucial that we are able to keep him on until November 30, but we can only do it with your help.

As a grassroots, citizen-led campaign, we are the only non-partisan organization doing door to door canvassing in this referendum.

These face to face conversations with voters matter.

Those with deep pockets and big media influence are doing whatever they can to derail this referendum and scare voters into voting NO.

BC Liberal leader Andrew Wilkinson has called the fight to kill proportional representation "the fight of our lives."

In June, millionaire (and former BC Liberal Party advisor) Jim Shepard ran full front page ads in newspapers across BC. Then the Independent Contractors and Business Association did the same.

In one day, wealthy opponents spent more money trying to kill proportional representation than many Canadians earn in several years.

The opposition is only going to get more intense as the vote gets close. We need the resources to fight back - including an Organizer to make sure as many voters as possible get that knock on their door!

This may be our last chance at electoral reform in BC for a generation.

A win in BC's referendum would have a huge impact on the prospects for proportional representation federally and in other provinces at a crucial time, as we head into the 2019 federal election.

It is imperative we win this referendum and set a precedent that it can be done!

Can you chip in to help us in this David and Goliath battle?

We are an independent third party advertising sponsor in this referendum, funded by the generosity of individual donors like you.

If PR supporters come together to seize this opportunity, we can do this!

Please donate to give BC and Canada the best chance ever to see a win for proportional representation.
