Salmon are showing up in the Arctic. More species are appearing, in more places and in greater numbers than ever before.

An ongoing research project in collaboration with northern communities is monitoring the expansion of the salmon as they push further into the Arctic and further up the Mackenzie River.

The Arctic is undergoing unprecedented change, and it's not yet known what effect the salmon could have on their new range. But it's more than likely that wherever they go, more changes will follow.
