r52 Internship opportunity for SJS students... & grads

Hello,

I’m writing today from GreenPAC, a non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting environmental leadership, to share an exciting opportunity that might be of interest to students in the Social Justice Studies program.

We’re launching the GreenPAC Parliamentary Internship in Ottawa for young people ages 18-30 who are passionate about politics and the environment. We will be placing them full time for nine months in the offices of Canada’s leading environmental political changemakers - Members of Parliament from all four major political parties who are environmental champions. Interns will gain an in-depth understanding of Canadian politics on the Hill as parliamentary staffers, with the opportunity to build connections with environmental leaders inside and outside of government. The program runs from mid-September 2018 to mid-June 2019 and includes a subsidy as well as unique learning and experiential opportunities.

Our first round of recruitment is taking place this summer, with the inaugural cohort to begin in mid-September 2018. The application deadline is June 29, 2018. More details about the internship, including the application form, are available on our website.

We’d love to have interns from across the country represented, so please feel free to share widely with students or professors in your department or around UVic. If you have any questions about the internship or the application process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
