The NEB is failing the 74 killer whales we have left r1 ...

Flood them with faxes

Dear Paov,

Not surprisingly, the National Energy Board (NEB) is recklessly rushing through their second review of the Trans Mountain pipeline, cutting corners just to appease the federal government.

Surprisingly, they are taking comments by fax!!

If you jam-up their fax machines with public comments, then they can’t ignore the necessary protection of southern resident killer whales and other threatened marine life put at risk by the Trans Mountain pipeline. You have just a little over two weeks left to send in your comments – please flood them with faxes today!

Write Now!
While the public noise has quieted following a decisive court victory over this pipeline, we’ve been scrambling to participate in the NEB’s second try at a review.

It’s an absurdly quick timeline of just 22 weeks. Wildlife experts can’t possibly gather evidence that fast.

That’s troubling for killer whales and all the other endangered species on the tanker route. Marine noise, collisions and especially an oil spill could drive these animals to extinction.

This pipeline cannot be approved without major violations of the Species at Risk Act (SARA). The NEB is rushing to meet the federal government’s political deadlines and ignoring their responsibility to take SARA concerns seriously.

Like any comically archaic organization, they only accept letters via snail mail, an eight-step PDF upload and fax machine. Thankfully we’ve got you covered. Will you use our fax tool below to send your comments to the NEB demanding they properly assess impacts to species at risk like killer whales?

They can try and ignore the grave risks these tankers pose to marine life but it’s hard to do when we overload their fax machine! We’ve got until November 20 to make sure these species get a fair hearing so please write today. Take Action Now! For the climate,
