Dear Paov,
Tomorrow marks 40 years for the Wilderness Committee!
On August 7, 1980, a small group of wilderness advocates came together around a kitchen table to form the Wilderness Committee. Since that day we’ve been working together with allies and Indigenous Peoples and thousands of people just like you to continue wilderness and wildlife protection.

This Monday Paul received the Order of British Columbia — the highest honour the province bestows — for his outstanding achievements to protect wilderness, including his leading role in the formation of the Wilderness Committee in 1980.
It’s YOU we have to thank for helping reach this amazing milestone. Your engagement and support for wilderness, wildlife, parks and climate got us here. Every step forward, we’ve made together. While there’s still so much work to be done, right now, let’s celebrate reaching 40!
