Hi Paov,
Your calls are making a difference.
The provincial government is feeling the heat for continuing to permit the destruction of non-renewable old-growth forests, despite promising to protect them in the last election.
The destruction of old-growth has serious consequences for endangered species, clean water and a safe climate, so this week we’re targeting BC’s environment minister, George Heyman.
Call him today and demand his government take real action to protect old-growth forests now!
This is a repeating tactic on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, with a different target each time.
On our first two Big Tree Tuesday phone blitzes, hundreds of people flooded the phone lines of Teal Jones, the controversial Surrey-based logging company, and Premier John Horgan.
