Hi Paov,
Last week was hard. Between more than 800 sudden deaths linked to our record heatwave and the wildfire that destroyed the village of Lytton in a matter of minutes, many people are mourning loved ones and cherished places.
For those of us who have been working for years to preserve a safe climate, it was a moment of intense grief but also furious anger. British Columbians are dying as a direct result of carbon pollution yet fossil fuel megaprojects are still under construction in this province.
Politicians are making this nightmare worse. Will you write a letter to your local paper raking decision makers over the coals for the damage they’re doing?

Premier Horgan’s flippant remarks about fatalities being a “fact of life” are even more painful knowing he gave billions of dollars worth of tax breaks and subsidies to the LNG Canada project currently underway in Kitimat. When completed, that facility would pollute more than all passenger vehicles in British Columbia.
