Hi friends,Biden is not following through on his promise to repeal Trump's numerous inhumane, illegal and unjust measures, as he promised when he ran for president. With all of its brutal manoeuvres, the US continues to make Cubans suffer in hoping to bring them to their knees. They have learnt nothing after more than 60 years of attempting to extinguish the Cuban... revolution through a variety of crimes and abuses against Cuba and its people. They are unaware that Cuba belongs to Cubans, not the United States.
An overwhelming number of countries, including labour, women's, religious, national, and international organizations, as well as people from all walks of life from all over the world, have opposed the US's blockade of Cuba.
Since the COVID pandemic started, the US has intensified its genocidal blockade in order to destabilize the Cuban economy in the hopes of eradicating the revolution. The US is becoming increasingly isolated from their misdeeds, not only in Cuba, but wherever they show up. From Iraq to Afghanistan, from Libya to Syria, these countries now have broken societies with all kinds of destruction, death and misery because of US meddling. The economic war the US is imposing against Cuba would bring Cuba to a similar reality to what it has brought to those countries. The Cubans are very well educated. They can see with their own eyes what the US brings and leaves behind with its wars, invasions, and blockades. Cuba will not fall.
To show our solidarity with Cuba, our Victoria Friends of Cuba committee will be hanging banners opposing the blockade at Roger’s overpass on the Pat Bay highway this coming Saturday, Oct. 30, from 1 to 2 p.m. We invite all of Cuba's friends to join us.
