HELP US WIN on the #LegalFrontLines r1 ... r33

Friends and supporters,

Our legal front lines need our help! On November 15, we're back in court facing Teal Cedar, who is pushing hard to extend the injunction. We can't let them win.

We’ve set a goal to raise 1 MILLION DOLLARS to defeat this injunction once and for all and ensure we have a legal defence fund for the future. With your support, we will win in court and set a new precedent, one that could provide a legal roadmap for other land and water defenders.

If the injunction IS extended, and the RCMP are empowered to continue arresting us and escorting industry into the woods, these forests will be lost forever.

Please contribute if you can! We're so grateful for your ongoing energy and commitment. Let's keep fighting!

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

On April 1, 2021, Teal Cedar Products was granted a 6 month court injunction to remove Indigenous land defenders and activists from the Fairy Creek watershed. The peaceful protection camps were the only thing standing in the way of ancient trees being clearcut.

Since then, the Fairy Creek Blockade at Ada’itsx has become the largest act of civil disobedience in Canadian history. This Indigenous-led movement is reshaping the global conversation about old growth forests, activism, reconciliation and Indigenous sovereignty.

But we’re not out of the woods yet—WE NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING to prevent another injunction at Fairy Creek and to pave the way for other movements like ours. Victory here could mean a historic legal precedent; a new ground upon which many present and future cases for Indigenous and environmental justice can be fought and won.

Help us reach our goal by donating and sharing widely. Every little bit helps. THANK YOU!
