Stop the logging of Argenta Face Forest! r1 ...

Let's defend this
endangered wilderness

Hi Paov,

Despite strong, widespread and ongoing public support for preserving the Argenta Face Forest, Cooper Creek Cedar Ltd. has begun its logging operation in the 6,200-hectare endangered wilderness area. Trees are falling fast.

I strongly believe that if we work together — this logging can be stopped and the spectacularly beautiful forest that graces the north end of Kootenay Lake can be preserved. The region is within the unceded territory of the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, Sinixt and Syilx nations.

Will you help the people of the West Kootenay get the logging stopped in the beloved Argenta Face Forest by writing your letter today to Premier John Horgan and elected representatives?

TAKE ACTION People who live in this part of the West Kootenay are doing everything they can to put an end to the habitat destruction as soon as possible before even more damage is done.

The Argenta Face Forest is not just a local issue. It's also of provincial, national and even international importance because it harbours rare old-growth trees and the habitats of extremely at-risk species like southern mountain caribou.

Cooper Creek Cedar is logging the first cutblock now — but has plans to cut many more all across the Argenta Face. Write my letter now! If we act together we can put an end to the company's logging scheme with a massive show of public support for preservation.

For the wild,
