A safe future is one without fracking

In recent years, British Columbia has seen one climate disaster after another. Heat domes, atmospheric rivers, wildfires and droughts have destroyed critical infrastructure, entire communities and even lives.

Yet fracking in northeast BC continues to make them worse.

Fracked gas extraction creates more climate pollution than all the rest of BC’s industries combined. And if all these liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants are built, gas production could double to fill them. BC needs a plan to end fracking.
