Today, the BC government released a draft Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health Framework, which sets a course toward legally establishing biodiversity and ecosystem health as “overarching priorities” for all sectors. West Coast
applauds this move toward ecosystem-based planning and management in BC, while noting that immediate actions must be taken to halt nature loss and recognize Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas.Special thanks to all our supporters who have joined us in calling for a BC biodiversity law!
