Does BC need Site C? No Dam Way!
Hi PAOV,
The results of the Site C dam's environmental assessment are in, and in its conclusions the Joint Review Panel lists many serious environmental, First Nations and cost impacts associated with the project. In addition, the Panel concluded that the proponent, BC Hydro, has not shown that there is a need for this project at this time.

Now the final decision rests with the governments of Canada and British Columbia – so it's a critical time to reach out to them and voice our opposition to Site C once again.
People from far and wide have repeatedly spoken out against this costly, unnecessary and environmentally damaging proposal – by writing letters, submitting their comments to the Panel, and by participating in public hearings.
Now that the environmental assessment is over, the provincial and federal government will review the Panel's findings in the coming months, and will then decide whether or not the project should be constructed.
We must act now to show decision-makers how strongly we feel that Site C dam should never be built!
Let's take a stand for the Peace River Valley. Please take a moment to write to the federal Environment Minister and the BC Minister of Energy and Mines, and demand an end to Site C plans, once and for all.
