The final draft of the UVic Sustainability Action Plan: Campus Operations (2014-2019) is available for review online. Thanks to everyone who has already provided input on helping us develop this plan that will guide our work over the next 5 years.

Kelsey Mech, recently former UVSS Chairperson, has been awarded one of the Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25 by The Starfish for her work on the Divest UVic campaign.

The Shelbourne Valley Action Plan is finally complete and available for public viewing on the Saanich website. Interested individuals and groups that have comments can email, or register to speak at the Saanich council meeting on June 9th.

Good news for cyclists comes from both the... City of Victoria and the Capital Regional District making recent announcements regarding new and increased funding for cycling infrastructure and amenities around the region.

DIVESTMENT OPTIONS FOR UVIC ENDOWMENT AND PENSION PLANS

School of Environmental Studies hosts discussion with special guest, Stephen Whipp, an investment advisor specializing in environmentally and socially responsible investment strategies, on options for moving towards divesting the UVic endowments and pension funds from fossil fuels. Light snacks and beverages provided.

MISS REPRESENTATION: YOU CAN'T BE WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE

Open Cinema and Bridges for Women host screening of award winning documentary Miss Representation on how the mainstream media contributes to the underrepresentation of women in position of power and influence in North America.
