Upcoming Enbridge Decision
On the radar for many this week is the Federal Governments’ upcoming decision on the future of the Enbridge’s Northern Gateway Pipeline project, which is scheduled for release this afternoon. The company’s plan to build a $7.9 billion pipeline, and related increases in oil tanker traffic, is fraught with contention and widespread resistance in communities in both the interior and coastal regions... of BC. There is a “No Means NO” Enbridge response tonight in front of the CTV television station downtown at 1420 Broad St from 7:00-8:30 PM. The event is being organized to give Victoria residents an opportunity to voice their concerns about the pipeline, and to learn and discuss non-violent direct action.
