Next Volunteer Action Night - Thurs. September 11th
Hi PAOV,
Thank you to everyone who showed their support at the Volunteer Action Night on August 28th!
Joe, our National Campaign Director, discussed useful strategies and the benefits of writing letters to the editor of a local newspaper. This practice, when done correctly, can have significant impact on social and environmental change. After an intimate and passionate conversation about some environmental issues here in Canada, the volunteers practiced and applied their new knowledge using the letter-writing tools available on our website.
Our next Volunteer Action Night will take place Thursday, September 11th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
I need your help on my climate campaign to Save the Salish Sea! On Saturday, September 20th, an extremely important international climate change rally will be taking place at Peace Arch Provincial Park, at the border of Canada and the US. This event has the potential to grab international attention and motivate people to take action around the globe. We need your help making this event a huge success.
Come to this Volunteer Action Night and create your own Action Sign for this important rally! Make your own, or if you can’t attend on September 20th, make a sign for another passionate climate-conscious individual who can. We will supply the materials and you can get creative!
More, we need some passionate volunteers to fill some important roles for September 20th. Learn more on Thursday - I hope to see you there!
Volunteer Action Nights take place at 6:00 p.m. every second Thursday at our Vancouver office (46 East 6th Ave.)
