r1Dear co-readers of evoz,
Please be invited to either or both of these film-discussion-cafe evenings. But please note the need for RSVPs.
Two RON film-discussion-cafe evenings:
Thurs, Nov 27.
"
Food Matters" surveys degenerative diseases and public health crisis caused by processed, nutrient-depleted food consumed in first-world nations. We recognize importance of protecting locally grown fruits and vegetables. The film describes ways to stop this cycle of destruction and restore health to ourselves and our planet.
Thurs, Dec 11.
"
The Wisdom to Survive" is a film at times beautiful, at times haunting, as human's over-live the capacity of the planet, killing off species while destroying soil productivity and water. We examine the challenges of climate change in face of growth and greed by fossil fuels industry, destroying the social fabric of society for billions of people and the life support system of the planet. The film, and roundtable following, discuss meaningful action that can be... taken by individuals and communities.
Where and when?
Crumsbys Schoolhouse Cafe, 4525 W Saanich Rd. Open at 6:30pm for tea, coffee, light meals. Film at 7pm (sharp!) then roundtable discussion after.
RSVPs needed!
-- for either or both events. We can proceed with minimun of 10 persons but no more than 40, with optimally 20-something for roundtable. Please
