NEWS:

The conversation on fossil fuel divestment continues this week with the UVSS and Victoria Councilors hosting an event downtown. Our Dollars, Our Future, asks attendees to engage in a conversation about how public investment dollars could be deployed more effectively. The event will be held on Tuesday January 13th at 7:00PM, at the Downtown Community Centre.

Divestment is also a hot topic here at UVic and recognizing that, the University is set to hold an event of its own on January 26th. The event titled, A Dialogue: Climate change, divestment and society, will bring together a panel that includes a student, a Suncor executive, and a member of the Beaver Lake Cree Nation, among others, to discuss sustainable investment practices and how divestment can address climate change. The event will be held at 7:00PM on... the 26th in Room B150 of the Bob Wright Centre.
