SACRED ECOLOGY

Join the UVic Chaplan for an introduction to the practices of sacred ecology, every Monday from 6:30pm to 8pm (except Family Day). Engage in an ecologically sensitive spirituality for these times, and explore an emerging worldview that integrates the wisdom of spiritual traditions, science and systems theory, eco-psychology, deep ecology and our own local skills and knowledge. Continuous and accelerating changes to technologies, products, and markets not only undermine profits, but are at the heart of significant social and environmental costs. Using the Coca-Cola Company as an example, Dr. Bansal will show that corporations must discriminate between the activities in which they need to respond quickly and those that require long-term investments for stability and sustainability. This bike ride is lead by the Victoria Cycling Adventures Meetup group and will take riders thru town, by UVIC's new Campus Bike Centre, over to Camosun's Interurban Campus and back, with a stop for a picnic lunch at Beaver Lake or at Nourish Bistro, depending on the weather.
