This is a big week for student politics: UVSS Student elections are this Wednesday! Undergraduate students can vote online starting at 9:00AM on March 4th. Voting closes on March 5th at 9:00AM.

The Martlet is providing a summary for student on their website. The Martlet notes in the Elections FAQ section that four referenda questions are being put forth: one question asks for a student mandate on UVic fossil fuel divestment; another asks to establish a student levy for the Students of Colour Collective; a third relates to the re-allocation of UVSS money to the Food Bank; the fourth question requests an increase in student fees to better fund the Campus Community Garden. Weavings hold stories and histories for the Indigenous Quechua population of the Peruvian Andes.

Mosqoy will exhibit striking photographs compiled over a decade by photographer and NGO director Ashli Akins alongside textiles that are hand-woven with natural dyes and fibres by 150 Indigenous women at this fair-trade textile market.
