THE SECRET TRIAL 5
This month is going to be different, and exciting! The filmmakers of the award-winning doc THE SECRET TRIAL 5 are doing a cross-Canada tour from March 12th-25th, and OPEN CINEMA is making it possible for you - the audience - to join the team on their journey.
As you know, OPEN CINEMA has been working very hard to expand beyond standard event formats. Thus far, we have succeeded in connecting multiple live events at the same time.
Now we are taking our experimentation even further, to explore how our online engagement can support a cross-country screening tour. During the month of March, the OPEN CINEMA team will be tweeting and posting about the filmmakers' journey, the film, the issue, the people they meet and directing traffic to watch the documentary online.
Then on March 25th, the OPEN CINEMA team will join the filmmakers at their final screening in Vancouver and webcast the post-screening discussion.
THIS JUST IN! The Green Party will be hosting a screening of the film on March 25th at their lovely new space on Fort Street in Victoria.

The Film
This important and timely documentary reveals the truth behind Canadian 'security certificates' in the story of 5 Canadian immigrants imprisoned without trial.
THE SECRET TRIAL 5 sheds light on the politics of secrecy and provides a chilling foreshadow to the government’s proposed anti-terrorism Bill C-51.
