Hey there Wild One,
Adbusters is launching Mindbombs, a powerful new campaign to crowdfund the purchase of airtime on major networks in the US and Canada.
Help us reach our goal in 40 days.
For the past 25 years, Adbusters Media Foundation has been working to ensure that the voices of rebels, dreamers and rabble-rousers worldwide are heard. It’s no secret that there are big things looming on the horizon this year: a federal election will be called any day in Canada, another coming up in 2016 in the US, and then the climate talks in Paris this December — our last chance to get world leaders to deliver a legally binding and universal solution to our impending climate crisis.
This is a do-or-die moment for us here on planet earth, and we want to let you in on a little secret … we’re going to fight like hell to fix things, or go down swinging!
Today we are launching a campaign to hijack prime-time television and democratize the public airwaves. Mindbombs are 15 – 30 second television messages designed to deliver breakthrough ideas on critical issues. We’re going to infiltrate the mainstream media, educate and enrage everyday viewers and turn them from passive consumers into active participants in the creation of a sane, sustainable future.
This is where you come in. Our first Mindbomb will air on the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and target the Canadian Prime Minister Harper’s collusion with Big Oil. Our initial goal is to raise $55,000 to air this spot on the CBC - day and night - for one week. Hedging on this success, we will then take on the American corporate media with our second Mindbomb on CNN. View both spots on our campaign page.
Corporations spend thousands of dollars to get their messages into your living room. We don’t have that kind of budget. But with your collaboration, we will crowdfund the resources to purchase airtime, first in Canada, then the US and then all over the world.
Starting March 23rd, we will have 40 days to raise $55,000. Check out the campaign HERE and help us make history.
And remember,

– Team Adbusters
