Don’t miss our latest educational report!
Hi PAOV,
Some of the worst clearcut logging I have ever seen scars the forests of the Chilcotin Plateau, southwest of Williams Lake, BC. Mining claims blanket vast swaths of the land – with proposals in the works to rip up massive areas of wildlife habitat.
But awe-inspiring wild beauty is found there, too. The Chilcotin Plateau still harbours some of the wildest landscapes remaining on our planet. That’s why I am so excited and happy to send you our latest publication, entitled Dasiqox Tribal Park.

We’ve partnered up to produce this report with the Xeni Gwet'in and Yunesit'in First Nations, with additional support from the Friends of the Nemaiah Valley. The Tsilhqot’in National Government is fully behind the Dasiqox Tribal Park designation (which is entirely within Tsilhqot’in territory). We are proud to stand with them in the defence of their territory’s wild nature.
In these days of out-of-control industrial development, I believe the way forward is to save wilderness, one precious piece at a time – and the Dasiqox Tribal Park certainly does that.
So here's what I am asking you to do: read the enclosed report and learn about the Dasiqox Tribal Park initiative. Then join the fight to save it.
You can add your voice to the chorus calling for protection for the Dasiqox Tribal Park by writing to BC’s Premier and asking that the provincial government support the Tsilhqot’in Nation’s initiative. You can also help by distributing copies of this report in your community – just drop us a line at 1-800-661-9453 (or 604-683-8220 in Metro Vancouver) and we'd be happy to send you as many as you need.
Together we can make sure that the Dasiqox Tribal Park is protected for all time.
For the wild,
Joe Foy | National Campaign Director
