Background: Developer Ender Ilkay lost his bid to build hundreds of vacation homes and miles of paved roads on the boundary of Juan de Fuca Provincial Park between China Beach and Sombrio Beach. Now he's out for whatever he can get, including clearcutting the forest. Join us to view, photograph, and document the damage. We still need to fight to protect this land.

Best practices:
1) Ilkay has promised a 50-meter buffer zone between the logging and the park.

2) Ilkay says he will leave a 10-meter buffer between logging and streams.

3) Steep slopes require special permits.

Thank you!
